Brewing India’s Next Barista Star
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre as the India International Coffee Festival (IICF) 2026 begins its regional qualifiers. Organised by the Specialty Coffee Association of India (SCAI) with support from the Coffee Board of India, the event is hosted by Bakery and HoReCa Business and runs from 30th October to 1st November 2025.
Over three days, the festival will bring together baristas from Mumbai, Maharashtra, and across the western region to showcase their talent in two key competitions — the National Barista Championship, featuring espresso making, milk-based coffees, and signature brews; and the National Brewers’ Cup, which focuses on manual coffee brewing.
Scores from the Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru rounds will determine regional champions, who will advance to the National Finals in Bengaluru. The top baristas from these finals will go on to represent India at various International Coffee Championships, placing the country’s growing coffee culture on the global stage.
The upcoming IICF event in Bengaluru will be a grand coffee exhibition, uniting the entire coffee value chain. Featuring both B2B and B2C participation, the festival promises a vibrant showcase of India’s evolving coffee scene. Visitors can expect tasting sessions, manual brewing workshops, coffee-and-cocktail pairings, and interactive demonstrations by leading roasters, growers, cafés, and brands from across India.
Attendees will also enjoy live competitions and workshops, offering a close look at the skill, creativity, and passion that define India’s coffee movement. Whether you’re a home brewer, trade professional, or coffee enthusiast, the India International Coffee Festival 2026 is where the next generation of India’s coffee legends will brew their success.
