The Moscow Seasons in Beijing festival took place on the vibrant Wangfujing street from June 12 to 15, welcoming over 2.85 million visitors. Over four days, attendees explored Moscow’s rich traditions, fascinating history, modern development, delicious cuisine, and famous sights.

This event was a key highlight of the cross-cultural exchange between Russia and China, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the sister city partnership between Moscow and Beijing.

Festival-goers enjoyed a variety of activities, including live performances of classical and contemporary music, dance workshops, Russian culinary tastings, and craft sessions where they learned to make traditional toys and souvenirs. The celebration also marked 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Highlights included concerts, virtual city tours, cooking classes, and immersive zones for all ages. Visitors delighted in photo opportunities at the Moscow Tea Party and Moscow Estates areas, explored interactive digital displays like VR tours of Moscow, and watched fireworks over VDNH.

A dedicated Tourist Information Centre provided travel tips and insights into Moscow’s attractions and cultural sites. Additionally, a special Aeroflot pavilion offered visitors the chance to try iconic stewardess hairstyles, light makeup, and receive complimentary gifts for those flying Business Class with Aeroflot.

The public showed keen interest in Moscow's landmarks and traditional Russian treats such as ice cream, dumplings, pancakes, and fruit leather.

On June 13, the festival hosted the conference “Cities of the Future: Synergy of Strategic Partnership between Moscow and Beijing,” gathering entrepreneurs and experts in various sectors including trade, technology, culture, and transport. The event resulted in the signing of seven international cooperation agreements, opening new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Earlier this year, a similar festival celebrating Chinese New Year attracted around 1.5 million visitors, featuring street performances, drumming shows, tea ceremonies, calligraphy workshops, and traditional games.
