In the run-up to World Food Day, as the global food community focuses on nutrition, sustainability and better eating habits, KFC India has announced a new range of Smarter Indulgence choices designed to balance flavour and nutrition without compromising on the brand’s signature finger lickin’ good taste.

Currently in testing across several markets, these options include innovations in product development, preparation techniques and ingredient selection.

Highlights from KFC India’s Smarter Indulgence range include:

  • India’s first Chatpata Chana Burger: A crispy, golden, protein-rich patty topped with crunchy onions, tangy sauce, eggless mayonnaise, and served in a seeded bun.

  • Smoky Grilled Chicken: Juicy, grilled chicken leg pieces with an oriental smoky-spicy flavour – a guilt-free indulgence cooked using a grilling technique.

  • Whole Wheat Bun Upgrade: An option to switch to a bun with reduced maida content across the Zinger Burger range.

  • Reduced-Fat Mayonnaise: Delivers the same rich flavour as regular mayo with 7 per cent less fat and fewer saturated fats.

  • Sustainable Rice Bran Oil: Being tested as a cooking medium, rich in unsaturated fats and antioxidants.
