Wow! Momo, India’s leading homegrown QSR brand, has unveiled a new innovation, the country’s first-ever Gluten-free momos, crafted with quinoa and chickpeas.

This category-first move redefines how Indian street food can be both indulgent and health-conscious. Traditionally made with refined flour, momos are now accessible to health enthusiasts and those with dietary restrictions, thanks to Wow! Momo’s new gluten-free recipe.

The new range is packed with protein, flavour, and all the goodness of quinoa and chickpeas — providing a delicious alternative for fitness-focused individuals and gluten-sensitive consumers. It aligns with the rising demand for healthier eating options in India, where the gluten-free food and beverage market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 13.93 percent, reaching $22.25 million.

According to Sagar Daryani, Co-founder and CEO of Wow! Momo Foods Pvt Ltd, “We’ve always seen the momo as more than just a product, it’s an emotion rooted in comfort and culture. That’s what I loved about this campaign. These gluten-free momos from Wow! Momo surprised me — they deliver on flavour, texture, and nostalgia perfectly. Described as more than just a product launch, the brand positions this innovation as a step toward food inclusivity. “Indulgence should never come with restrictions,” says Wow! Momo, a message brought to life through a digital film featuring celebrity chef Ranveer Brar.

The gluten-free momos will be available across 11 key Indian metros initially, with future plans to introduce them in the ready-to-eat FMCG segment. This move not only expands Wow! Momo’s reach but also reinforces its commitment to mindful eating without compromising taste.
