In an age where longevity has become a new luxury, Raga Svara, a boutique luxury wellness retreat in Rajkot, unveiled its pioneering 14-day Holistic Healthy-Ageing Retreat, designed to help guests embrace ageing as a conscious, balanced, and rejuvenating process.
This first-of-its-kind programme seamlessly merges ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with the science of Yoga, offering a deeply immersive journey rooted in holistic healing. Crafted in collaboration with Ayurvedic doctors from the Ayurveda College of RK University, the retreat is a reflection of Raga Svara’s core philosophy that wellness must be evidence-based, integrative, and enduring.
“In a world where the pressures of modern life accelerate stress and imbalance, we at Raga Svara believe ageing should be embraced as a conscious journey of vigour and restoration,” says Mohit Patel, Co-Founder and CEO, Raga Svara. “The primary purpose of this retreat is to help guests revitalise at the cellular level, build resilience, and achieve a state of complete harmony between body, mind, and spirit.”
The retreat offers an array of classical Ayurvedic therapies, including Shashtika Shali Pinda Sweda, Shirodhara, Panchakarma, Nasya, and Shiro Pada Abhyanga, each tailored to individual needs following an in-depth Prakriti (body constitution) assessment. These treatments focus on cellular rejuvenation, detoxification, and nervous system balance, aiming to restore vitality from within rather than merely addressing visible signs of ageing.
Complementing these therapies, guests participate in daily yoga sessions at the Antara Centre for Yoga, integrating Asanas, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Mantra, and Meditation. Breathing practices such as Bhramari, Anulom Vilom, and Sheetali are incorporated to regulate the nervous system, reduce oxidative stress, and cultivate mindfulness, all essential elements of graceful ageing.
The experience is further enhanced by Raga Svara’s eco-conscious environment. Spread across 25 acres of tropical gardens and fruit orchards, the retreat features sustainable architecture and a farm-to-table culinary philosophy, with vegetarian, dosha-appropriate meals prepared using seasonal produce sourced from its own vegetable and herb gardens.
According to Mohit Patel, what differentiates Raga Svara from conventional wellness resorts is its research-backed, integrative approach. “Our founding family’s association with RK University ensures every therapy and protocol is clinically credible. We aim to redefine wellness not as escapism, but as a return to self — a conscious way of living that extends beyond the retreat,” he notes.
In line with emerging global trends, Raga Svara’s new programme incorporates the “community + healing” model, extending wellness into shared learning and social connection. Guests can engage in Ayurvedic cooking classes, philosophy workshops, and mindful living sessions, fostering collective growth while maintaining personal privacy and solitude.
Sustainability remains central to Raga Svara’s identity. Beyond its eco-conscious design and sustainable cuisine, the retreat encourages digital detoxes and periods of silence, allowing guests to reconnect with nature and self-awareness.
Looking ahead, Patel envisions a boutique model of expansion, with plans to introduce similar retreats across India and internationally.
“Each retreat will embody our ‘learning to heal’ philosophy — combining personalised Ayurveda, mindful living, and community engagement,” he shares. “Through this, we aim to position India as a global destination for holistic longevity.”
With the launch of its Holistic Healthy-Ageing Retreat, Raga Svara has reaffirmed its position as one of India’s most thoughtful wellness sanctuaries where ageing can be celebrated through awareness, balance, and purposeful living.
