Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest independent hotel brand, has announced the addition of 18 new properties to its prestigious global portfolio during the second quarter of 2025. Celebrating this expansion, I Prefer Hotel Rewards members can earn 2,500 bonus points on eligible stays at any of these newly joined venues for a limited period. The newly included hotels range from a modern Texas inn to a historic castle converted into a luxury retreat in the Austrian Alps, each offering authentic and immersive experiences that inspire travellers to explore extraordinary destinations around the world.

Among the highlights is Amara Singapore, situated in the heart of Tanjong Pagar’s Central Business District, which has recently undergone a transformation that honours its heritage while embracing contemporary design. This 389-room hotel combines tradition with modern comfort, featuring interiors inspired by local culture and environmentally friendly amenities. Guests can enjoy cultural activities such as heritage walking tours and culinary workshops, creating a truly local experience.

In Italy, the Castello di Velona Resort Thermal SPA & Winery, perched atop a hill in Montalcino's renowned Tuscan countryside, offers a luxurious experience within a restored medieval fortress. The property boasts panoramic views, private terraces, thermal baths sourced from natural hot springs, and a range of regional activities such as truffle hunting and vineyard dining. Similarly, in Texas, Green Pastures in Austin is set to open in autumn 2025, offering a refined rural retreat with stylish guest rooms, exceptional dining options, and tranquil outdoor spaces shaded by oak trees.

In the bustling city of Shanghai, the Himalayas Hotel combines contemporary luxury with Chinese heritage. Located in the thriving Pudong district, it provides stylish rooms with traditional decor, a jade atrium for relaxation, and access to top city attractions. In Austria, Imlauer Hotel Schloss Pichlarn, nestled in a scenic alpine valley within a historic castle, offers guests exquisite dining, spa facilities, and outdoor activities amid dramatic mountain scenery.

“We’re proud to welcome these 18 remarkable independent luxury hotels to our global portfolio,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. “Each property embodies a strong sense of place and a unique spirit – delivering authentic experiences without ever compromising soul for standardisation. From storied heritage retreats to culturally rich urban escapes, these hotels reflect the meaningful journeys and legacy moments today’s travellers are actively seeking.”

In addition to these new additions, other properties that joined the portfolio from April to June 2025 include boutique hotels, resorts, and city escapes in destinations such as Costa Rica, Greece, Mexico, Portugal, and more, exemplifying the brand’s diverse and rich collection.

Many of these new members participate in the I Prefer Hotel Rewards programme—a free, points-based loyalty scheme with over six million members worldwide. Members can earn rewards such as cash certificates, Titanium status, and exclusive benefits across more than 600 properties globally. For a limited time, both new and existing members can earn 2,500 bonus points on eligible stays at these new properties when booked by September 30, 2025, for stays between July 3 and December 31, 2025.
