Festival to feature Demon Hunters and films highlighting Taiwan’s culture and technology

The 2025 Taiwan Film Festival will take place at PVR Priya Cinema, Vasant Vihar, and will be organised by the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan, and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India. The festival presents three Taiwanese films that reflect the diversity of Taiwan’s contemporary cinema and cultural landscape.

The programme includes a special screening of Demon Hunters, the first Taiwan–India co-produced feature film, which combines cultural elements from both countries and features classic Bollywood dance sequences. The film marks a milestone in film collaboration between Taiwan and India.

Also featured is the documentary A Chip Odyssey, which explores the story of the world’s leading semiconductor company, TSMC, highlighting Taiwan’s role in global technology and its impact on the international supply chain.

Hunter Brothers, an Indigenous-themed drama, examines the social and emotional tensions between tradition and modernity within Taiwan’s Indigenous communities.

The festival programme includes an opening ceremony, film screenings and post-screening discussions with invited filmmakers and guests from Taiwan and India. The event aims to promote cultural understanding and support future collaboration between film and cultural institutions of both countries.

  • December 12 (Friday): Demon Hunters, 7:45 PM
  • December 13 (Saturday): Hunter Brothers, 10:00 AM
  • December 13 (Saturday): A Chip Odyssey, 12:00 PM
