The 40th IATO Annual Convention is set to take place from August 22-25, 2025, in Puri, Odisha. As the host state, Odisha will welcome delegates, with IATO anticipating attendance from the Ministry of Tourism, the Government of India, and representatives from 15 to 18 other states, announced Rajiv Mehra, President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO).
Swosti Premium Beach Resort in Puri will be the venue for the event, hosting all activities during the three days, including registration, the inaugural ceremony, business sessions, and evening programmes. Partner hotels include Taj Puri Resort & Spa, ITC Fortune Beachfront, Mayfair Heritage & Mayfair Waves, Sterling, Regenta Central, and Empires Hotel.
The convention theme and further organisational details are currently being finalised and will be communicated in due course.
Ravi Gosain, Vice President - IATO said, “We expect about 900 -1000 delegates from all over the country to participate which will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals, travel trade media. There are post-conventiontours being organised on various sectors to showcase Odisha amongst the tourism stakeholders and later promote in overseas and domestic markets."
Besides the serious discussions during the business sessions, the IATO Run for Responsible Tourism and awards would be given in various categories to the winners and runners-up. Also, there will be an evening entertainment programme on all three days and delegates will enjoy taking time off from their busy schedule.
During the convention, IATO is also organising Indian Tourism Fair (Travel Mart) on August 23 and 24 at Swosti Premium Beach Resort, venue of the convention, which will give an opportunity for our members tointeract with the state tourism department and other stakeholders who are exhibiting tointeract with each other and promote tourism.
