AbhiBus (ixigo’s bus business) has announced a partnership with the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC). This collaboration marks a significant step in expanding AbhiBus’s state transport coverage, providing millions of passengers in Odisha with easier access to reliable government bus services via its digital platform.

OSRTC operates under the Transport & Commerce Department of the Odisha Government, connecting over 130 towns and business centres within Odisha and 68 cities outside the state. OSRTC runs 4,800 daily services with a fleet of 577 intercity and interstate buses. Its flagship Mukhyamantri Bus Seva (MBS) connects more than 6,720 Gram Panchayats through 1,422 rural buses, making it one of India’s most inclusive public transport systems. Through this partnership, OSRTC services will now be available on the AbhiBus platform, offering travellers the convenience of digital bookings, real-time bus tracking, secure payments, and access to a wide range of routes and bus categories – all on one trusted platform.

Speaking on this, Rohit Sharma, COO, AbhiBus, said, “We are delighted to welcome OSRTC onboard, one of the key state transport networks connecting cities and rural communities across Odisha. At AbhiBus, we aim to make government bus services more accessible and convenient for every traveller. This partnership enables passengers to seamlessly book bus routes like Bhubaneswar-Puri, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela, and Sambalpur, as well as interstate routes to Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, and Raipur. With access to OSRTC’s full range of bus categories - from Ordinary to Volvo Super Deluxe - we are committed to enhancing the travel experience for millions of passengers in Odisha.”

By bringing OSRTC into its fold, AbhiBus further strengthens its growing network of partnerships with state transport corporations across India. In recent months, the platform has added seven new SRTCs, including SBSTC, TSRTC, PRTC, KSRTC, SNT, and UTC. Today, AbhiBus aggregates 17 major SRTCs, offering millions of passengers affordable and reliable travel options, while delivering greater connectivity and wider route choices across the country.
