Agoda has unveiled its latest insights into the most searched honeymoon destinations. Indian couples are chasing sunrises, island retreats, and experiences that captivate. Goa remains the leading domestic choice, while Dubai tops international favourites. A surprise standout was Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island, which has surged into the top ten for the first time, registering an eightfold rise in popularity.

With India’s wedding season approaching as the monsoon ends and winter brings milder weather from November to January, travel for weddings and honeymoons is set to rise. Couples, families, and guests are preparing to celebrate both near and far, with honeymoons driving significant demand as newlyweds embark on their first trip together. This year’s trends highlight enduring favourites alongside exciting new discoveries.

Domestically, Goa continues to be India’s most-loved honeymoon spot for the second year running, thanks to sun-soaked beaches, boutique resorts, and a vibrant culinary scene. The City of Lakes, Udaipur, rises to second place in 2025, appealing to couples with its royal charm and tranquil lakeside vistas. Mumbai sits in third, followed by Jaipur and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the top five. The Andamans are emerging as a preferred island escape closer to home, debuting in the top five for honeymooners this year.

Internationally, Dubai remains the top choice, attracting couples with luxury, desert adventures, and a glamorous cityscape. Phuket and Bangkok follow, with Bali and Pattaya still drawing tropical interest. Phu Quoc Island steals the spotlight this year, climbing from outside the top ten in 2024 to sixth in 2025, with nearly 700 per cent growth in search interest—underscoring Indian travellers’ appetite for fresh and affordable Southeast Asian escapes.

commenting on the data, Gaurav Malik, Country Director, Indian Subcontinent & Indian Ocean Islands at Agoda, said, “Honeymoons are among the most meaningful trips couples take, and Indian travellers are increasingly favouring destinations that offer both romance and discovery. From classic getaways like Goa and Bali to rising stars such as Phu Quoc, beach and island breaks win hearts and set the scene for a lifetime of happiness for newlyweds. Agoda’s broad range of stays and activities helps couples craft trips as unique as their journey together.”
