Air India Self-check-in

Air India has announced the extension of its self-check-in and baggage drop facilities to 19 international airports, now available for travellers flying from India to key destinations across Europe, the UK, and Canada. This initiative benefits passengers travelling to airports in the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, and Australia, with more locations to be added soon.

Passengers can now enjoy faster, more convenient check-in at airports in London (Heathrow and Gatwick), Birmingham, Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan, Zurich, Toronto, Vancouver, and all five major US cities (New York, Newark, Chicago, Washington, and San Francisco), as well as Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.

This expansion demonstrates Air India’s commitment to harnessing technology to enhance the traveller experience, making airport processes smoother and more efficient. The self-service kiosks let passengers print boarding passes and baggage tags, check in, update contact and frequent flyer details, select or pay for seats, and drop their bags on their own — all without queuing at counters.

By offering these facilities, Air India aims to streamline journeys, reduce wait times, and ensure passengers reach their gates promptly. Over the past year, the airline has introduced several customer-focused initiatives, including exclusive Premium Lobbies, dedicated Family Assistance counters, city-side check-in at Delhi and Hyderabad, and now, these new self check-in services — all designed to elevate the overall travel experience to global standards.
