Airline Begins Operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport
Air India Express has announced the start of services from the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport, with operations beginning on December 25, 2025. The airline will initially operate daily flights to Bengaluru and five weekly flights to Delhi. From January 1, 2026, both routes will operate twice daily. Bookings are now open on airindiaexpress.com, the mobile app, and leading booking channels.
Operations will begin on December 25, 2025. On this date, Air India Express will operate a daily service from Navi Mumbai to Bengaluru, departing at 08:55 and arriving at 10:50. The return flight from Bengaluru to Navi Mumbai will also run daily, departing at 06:00 and arriving at 08:10. Flights from Navi Mumbai to Delhi will operate five days a week—Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, with departures at 14:05 and arrivals at 16:20. The return flights from Delhi to Navi Mumbai will run on the same days, departing at 11:15 and arriving at 13:25.
From January 1, 2026, the airline will increase services on both routes. A second daily flight will be introduced between Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru, departing Navi Mumbai at 19:35 and arriving in Bengaluru at 21:35. The return flight will leave Bengaluru at 16:55 and arrive in Navi Mumbai at 18:55. Daily services will also begin on the Navi Mumbai–Delhi route, with flights departing Navi Mumbai at 09:00 and arriving at 11:10. The return flight from Delhi will depart at 06:00 and arrive in Navi Mumbai at 08:20.
Aloke Singh, Managing Director, Air India Express, said the launch aligns with the opening of the new airport and will enhance connectivity for Mumbai and the surrounding regions. “We are excited to start flights from the new Navi Mumbai International Airport from the very first day of its opening. We are happy to work with the airport as it opens up capacity for Mumbai and its catchment area, putting one of India's largest transport hubs back on a rapid growth trajectory. We will offer direct connectivity to Bengaluru and New Delhi, and seamless onward connections on both AIX and AI networks. Going forward, we will add more flights in a phased manner as we expand our operations at Navi Mumbai.”
Air India Express continues to expand its presence in Maharashtra, operating over 130 weekly flights from Mumbai and more than 90 from Pune. From December 1, 2025, the airline will also begin services from Nagpur, operating two daily flights to Bengaluru.
The new Navi Mumbai services align with the airline’s growing network from Bengaluru, where it now operates more than 530 weekly flights and has recently launched services to Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. The airline has also commenced direct flights from Bengaluru to Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Riyadh.
Air India Express recently rolled out its brand campaign, ‘Xplore More, Xpress More’, encouraging travellers to discover local experiences. The airline has also introduced an updated cabin experience on its Boeing 737-8 aircraft. Features include enhanced seat padding, wider armrests, legroom between twenty-nine and thirty-eight inches, in-seat USB charging, ovens for hot ‘Gourmair’ meals, refreshed interiors, new carpets, and Boeing Sky Interior lighting.
Through its ‘Tales of India’ initiative, the airline highlights more than fifty traditional art forms from twenty-five states, including Maharashtra’s Warli painting and the Himroo and Paithani weaving traditions.
