Redefining Employee Comfort and Brand Identity Across Ground Operations

Akasa Air unveiled refreshed uniforms for its ground services team, designed to reflect a unified brand identity that balances comfort, functionality, and contemporary style. The new look, soon to be rolled out across Engineering, Cargo, Security, and Airport Services teams, embodies the airline’s commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and employee wellbeing.

Created by renowned designer Rajesh Pratap Singh, the redesigned uniforms bring a cohesive aesthetic that complements Akasa Air’s youthful and progressive ethos. The initiative reinforces the airline’s belief that comfort and confidence at work directly enhance service excellence.

“At Akasa Air, our people are at the heart of everything we do,” said Belson Coutinho, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Akasa Air. “The redesign of our ground services team uniforms reflects our commitment towards creating a cohesive, comfortable, and contemporary identity across our frontline departments. Every element, from the fabric to the fit, has been thoughtfully considered to meet the functional needs of our team members while embodying our brand’s progressive and inclusive spirit. We believe that when our people feel valued and empowered, it shows in the experience we deliver to our passengers. This initiative is another step in building a workplace that is truly community-driven, progressive, and employee-first.”

Comfort, functionality, and sustainability remain central to the redesign. The upgraded fabric composition enhances comfort and mobility, enabling team members to perform their duties efficiently throughout the day. Continuing the airline’s sustainability efforts, the trousers are made using recycled materials, an initiative that reflects Akasa Air’s environmental responsibility without compromising style or practicality.

The new uniforms feature a striking purple hue, creating a visually cohesive palette across all ground service departments while reinforcing Akasa Air’s vibrant and contemporary brand identity. The consistent colour theme also strengthens the visual connection between ground services teams, cabin crew, and pilots, symbolising unity and shared purpose within the organisation.

Staying true to its inclusive philosophy, Akasa Air continues to champion gender-neutral design. The refreshed uniforms prioritise simplicity, adaptability, and comfort, ensuring every team member feels confident and respected, regardless of gender identity.

Since its inception in 2022, Akasa Air has stood out for its employee-centric culture and innovative approach to workplace design. This latest initiative builds on that legacy, reaffirming the airline’s belief that happy, empowered employees lead to better passenger experiences.

Akasa Air’s distinctive identity, defined by empathy, innovation, and customer-first service, has made it a preferred choice among Indian travellers. With its modern fleet offering enhanced comfort, USB charging ports, and unique onboard experiences like Café Akasa, the airline has consistently introduced customer-friendly and industry-first features. Its offerings, including Pets on Akasa, Akasa Holidays, Seat & Meal Deal, and SkyScore by Akasa, demonstrate its commitment to personalisation and passenger comfort, while continuing to set new benchmarks in aviation.
