Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has collaborated with uppercase, India’s only made-in-India lifestyle brand specialising in sustainable travel solutions, to launch customised cabin crew luggage and accessories.

This partnership unites two homegrown brands committed to conscious innovation, employee-centred design, and sustainability. The initiative demonstrates both companies’ dedication to redefining their industries with responsible, functional products that prioritise crew comfort and convenience.

The exclusive line, developed with direct input from cabin crew, features a hard-shell stroller in Akasa’s colours, boasting dual wheels for stability, TSA-approved locks, and compartments for shoes, laundry, and essentials. Complemented by a matching tote bag designed to fit securely on top, the collection offers practical, stylish solutions tailored to the needs of frequent flyers.

Sustainability remains at the core of this collaboration. uppercase has crafted the bags using RCS-certified recycled materials to minimise environmental impact, reflecting both brands’ commitment to responsible design and sustainable everyday utility without sacrificing style or function.

Commenting on the initiative, Belson Coutinho, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Akasa Air, said, "We're thrilled to partner with uppercase to introduce this new, custom-designed travel gear for our cabin crew. This initiative truly reflects our deep commitment to employee centricity. We've listened to our crew's needs and incorporated their inputs to ensure the bags are not only incredibly convenient and functional for their demanding roles, but also exude style and even a touch of fun.”

Coutinho further added, “It's about empowering our crew with high-quality, sustainable gear that makes their journey comfortable and enjoyable, aligning perfectly with our progressive, employee-first approach at Akasa Air.”

"Commenting on the initiative, Sudip Ghose, Founder and Managing Director, uppercase, said, “At uppercase, we believe that great design must serve both purpose and people. This collaboration with Akasa Air was a natural fit with both brands being young, future-facing, and driven by values of sustainability and innovation. The luggage was custom-designed in close partnership with the airline’s crew, with every detail tailored to their needs and proudly made in India.”

This 100 per cent made-in-India, eco-friendly cabin luggage will become an essential part of the crew’s daily routine, supporting their journeys with practicality, comfort, and a shared vision for a sustainable future. The collaboration forms part of an ongoing strategy to enhance crew and customer experience, reinforcing both brands’ commitment to responsible growth and innovation.
