For the first time, Shin Chan will grace Indian theatres with an exciting Indian-themed adventure: Shin Chan: The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers in India. Directed by Masakazu Hashimoto and produced by Shin-Ei Animation, TV Asahi, ADK Emotions and Futabasha, the project brings Shin Chan and his friends to India.
Shigeru Ishimoto, General Manager – Mumbai, ANA (All Nippon Airways), said, “We are excited to collaborate with TV Asahi in promoting Shin Chan. This is more than just a movie release — it represents a cultural bridge between India and Japan, built through art, laughter and shared experiences.”
Maiko Sumida, Head of Animation Sales & Development – Tokyo, TV Asahi, added, “We are delighted to partner with ANA, a leading Japanese airline on the India–Japan route, to bring Shin Chan to India and share the charm of Japanese entertainment with Indian audiences.”
ANA’s pan-India joint promotion activities began with Cos Con in Shillong on August 30, 2025. The event was very warmly received by Shin Chan fans.
Following the on-ground event, on September 5, 2025, ANA’s Hello Blue Sale featuring Shin Chan characters went live. The joint Hello Blue Sale campaign runs from September to November 2025. On 20 September 2025, the premiere was opened to an exclusive audience of media and others by invitation only at a local suburban multiplex. On the same day, at the venue, ANA engaged with Shin Chan fans at an on-ground booth and enticed potential ANA customers through Gara Gara Pon (Lucky Draw). Winners of the Gara Gara Pon were announced in multiple tiers and won exciting ANA and Shin Chan prizes. From 26 September, ANA’s logo was displayed alongside other promotion partners on the movie screen.
Simultaneously, an online campaign ran from September 20, 2025 to October 16, 2025, at select PVR cinemas. Fans could scan and subscribe for a chance to win two free round-trip tickets to Japan. A 15 per cent discount was offered to other subscribers, subject to terms and conditions. ANA and TV Asahi also conducted joint social media campaigns via Facebook from 26 September 2025 for a limited period.
