This year celebrates a key milestone in the partnership between Japan and India, as 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Yokohama and Mumbai, established on June 26, 1965.
To mark this occasion, All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s leading five-star airline, is introducing various special activities throughout June 2025 on its NH829 (Narita–Mumbai) and NH830 (Mumbai–Narita) flights.
Activities include:
- Distribution of commemorative stickers featuring the 60th anniversary logo to passengers on NH829 and NH830 during June.
- A 60th Anniversary Leaflet with information about the Lucky Draw and prizes from Yokohama and ANA, available at Mumbai airport during departures and arrivals.
- Passengers can scan a dedicated ANA QR code to enter a lucky draw, with prizes such as:
- Complimentary stays at Hotel Associa Shin-Yokohama and The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu
- ANA aircraft models
- Tickets to Yokohama Zoo and Sankeien Garden
- Yokohama-themed merchandise, including coasters, bandanas, and ANA-branded tote bags
- From June 1 to 30, 2025, ANA check-in counters at Mumbai International Airport will prominently feature the official 60th-anniversary logo.
- A special in-flight announcement will be made on June 27, 2025, on both NH829 and NH830, commemorating the sister city agreement.
This initiative aims to emphasise ANA’s role in fostering cultural connections and to honour the enduring relationship between Yokohama and Mumbai. As India–Japan ties continue to strengthen, ANA is proud to be part of celebrating this chapter of friendship.
