Sustainable Travel Platform Expands Global Portfolio and Advisory Services
Beyond Green announced the expansion of its global platform by adding five new member properties and the formal integration of consulting services under the Beyond Green brand. The move strengthens the organisation’s engagement across the sustainable travel sector.
Initially known for its curated portfolio of vetted hotels, resorts, lodges, and accommodation providers, Beyond Green has broadened its scope to include advisory services for destinations, hospitality brands, governments, and aligned organisations.
The newly integrated Beyond Green Consulting traces its origins to Beyond Green Travel, founded in 2005 by Costas Christ and supported by Sally Christ. The consultancy was acquired by Preferred Travel Group, the parent company of Beyond Green, in 2019 and now operates fully under the Beyond Green identity.
Under the leadership of Nina Boys, Vice President of Sustainability and Beyond Green, the consulting division provides strategic guidance across destination stewardship, sustainable tourism planning, visitor experience development, and impact measurement. The integration enables Beyond Green to extend its sustainability framework beyond accommodation providers into broader industry engagement.
“With this expanded structure, Beyond Green is positioned to support a broader spectrum of changemakers across the travel industry,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO of Beyond Green. “By bringing together our global portfolio of sustainability-driven member properties and strategic advisory expertise, we’re unlocking new opportunities to scale impact and inspire meaningful change.”
Beyond Green Consulting offers services including sustainable product development, brand positioning, marketing and communications strategy, education and capacity-building workshops, destination planning, and impact reporting.
Alongside the consulting expansion, Beyond Green has added five new hotels and resorts to its global portfolio across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The properties reflect varied approaches to environmental stewardship, heritage conservation, and community engagement.
New Beyond Green member properties include:
- Borneo Eagle Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
A private island resort operating with solar energy, organic farming, and marine conservation initiatives, including coral restoration and giant clam propagation. - Bungaraya Island Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
A rainforest-based resort with villas designed to integrate with the natural landscape and dining focused on farm-to-table ingredients. - Gayana Marine Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
