Swedish chef Björn Frantzén has reached a notable milestone, becoming the only chef worldwide currently operating three restaurants, each of which has been awarded three Michelin stars.
This achievement was confirmed at the Michelin Guide ceremony in Dubai, where his restaurant FZN received the guide’s highest accolade — three stars. Opened in October 2024, FZN swiftly gained recognition, making it the first restaurant in the United Arab Emirates to earn three Michelin stars. Frantzén now uniquely manages three three-star establishments: Frantzén in Stockholm (since 2018), Zén in Singapore (since 2021), and FZN in Dubai, placing him in a class of his own in the culinary world.
Currently, 152 restaurants worldwide hold the three-star status, and the Frantzén Group’s achievement of three such restaurants underscores its prominence across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
“This recognition is an incredible honour, not just for me, but for my entire team. Receiving three Michelin stars for FZN in Dubai is a proud moment for us and reflects the hard work and creativity of everyone involved,” said Frantzén.
