Carvel, the American brand that introduced the world to soft-serve ice cream, is making its Indian debut with a flagship store in Connaught Place, New Delhi. Opening on October 4, 2025, the launch marks the beginning of a new chapter for one of the world’s most loved dessert chains.

Founded over 90 years ago, Carvel is known for its creamy soft serve, indulgent sundaes, and novelties such as Flying Saucers®, Shakes, Carvelanches® and Dashers®. For India, the brand has created a special menu that combines its global bestsellers with flavours inspired by local favourites. Diners can look forward to indulgences like a Gulab Jamun Sundae, Biscoff Carvelanche, Mango Swirl and Cassata Dasher, alongside the classic American treats.

Steven Yang, Senior Vice President, APAC at GoTo Foods, commented: “India enjoys desserts like no other country, and that’s why Carvel belongs here. Entering one of the world’s most exciting food markets, we are bringing a heritage brand that has been delighting families for over 90 years to a new generation of consumers. India’s love for celebration, indulgence, and togetherness makes it the perfect home for Carvel.”

Sumer Sethi, Founder of Unify Foodworks, added: “We are thrilled to bring Carvel to India, a country where desserts are part of every celebration and moment of joy. This launch is not just an expansion but a cultural exchange, blending Carvel’s playful legacy with India’s rich dessert traditions to create new ways of celebrating everyday moments.”

The store, located at Outer Circle, L Block, Connaught Place, is designed with a fresh, modern look and offers both dine-in and takeaway. A grab-and-go freezer will stock ready-to-enjoy novelties, while prices starting at Rs 79 aim to make Carvel an accessible indulgence for students, professionals and families alike. The store will be open daily from 12 pm to 12 am, catering to both afternoon cravings and late-night dessert runs.

Carvel’s India entry, in partnership with Unify Foodworks, signals the brand’s long-term commitment to the market, with expansion plans and over 1,000 jobs expected to be created in the coming years. To mark the opening, the first 20 customers on launch day will receive a special gift, setting the tone for Carvel’s fun and flavourful journey in India.
