Chatrium Hospitality to Open 304-Key Resort in Rawai, Phuket in 2026

New beachfront resort planned on Rawai Beach, southern Phuket

Thai hotel group Chatrium Hospitality announced plans to open Chatrium Rawai Phuket in 2026. The resort will mark the group’s first property on the island and will be located on Rawai Beach, along the southern coast of Phuket.

Chatrium Rawai Phuket will feature 304 rooms, suites and pool villas. The accommodation is arranged in a tiered layout, with most rooms offering views of the Andaman Sea. The design focuses on functional layouts, natural light, and private balconies.

The resort will include purpose-built family accommodation, a kids’ club and splash pools with water slides. Additional facilities will include a wellness and spa centre, a water-sports hub on the beachfront, and a central pool deck overlooking the sea.

Dining options at the resort will include a seafood-focused, all-day dining restaurant inspired by a traditional fisherman’s market, a poolside restaurant and bar offering light meals and beverages, and a lobby lounge serving refreshments throughout the day.

Rawai Beach is positioned as a base for exploring nearby islands, coral reefs and diving locations, with long-tail boat services operating from the shore. The area is also home to an active fishing community and the Sea Gypsy Village, where fresh seafood is sold directly by local fishermen. Nearby attractions include Promthep Cape and Ya Nui Beach.

Chatrium Rawai Phuket is located approximately thirty to forty minutes by road from Phuket Old Town and around ninety minutes from Phuket International Airport.
