Pune’s buzzing cafe scene just got a global flavour boost. Coffee Island, in partnership with Vita Nova, has officially arrived in Maharashtra with two new cafés—one at Amanora Mall and the other at Tribeca Highstreet. Known for championing European coffee culture, the brand is setting its sights on one of India’s fastest-growing cities.
Konstantinos Konstantinopoulos, CEO, Coffee Island, said, “Launching our first two cafés in Maharashtra marks a key milestone in building a strong footprint across India. Guided by our philosophy of Perfectly Engineered Coffee, we combine quality sourcing, authenticity, and innovation to deliver speciality coffee with consistency and care. As members of the Specialty Coffee Association, we use constantly evolving and innovative processes to ensure quality. Our passion becomes a distinctive coffee experience for every Indian consumer.”
Commenting on the opening, Pratyush Sureka, Founder, Vita Nova, added, “Pune is emerging as one of India’s most exciting urban markets, and we see immense potential here. With our cafés at Amanora Mall and Tribeca Highstreet, we’re bringing Coffee Island’s global expertise in coffee and craft to a city that values both tradition and innovation. This launch strengthens our vision to make world-class coffee experiences accessible across India.”
The new outposts have been strategically chosen. Amanora Mall offers the perfect hub for families, students, and shoppers, while Tribeca Highstreet is shaping up as a go-to lifestyle destination. Together, they place Coffee Island at the heart of Pune’s evolving social spaces.
Coffee lovers can expect more than just the usual cappuccino. The menu highlights single estate beans from regions such as Kenya and Ethiopia, alongside inventive blends and signature creations. Drinks like the Prebiotic Overnight Brew, Islander Cold Coffee, Bobastic Coffeeccino, and Ibrik Coffee sit beside matcha-led options such as Vietnamese Matcha and the Bobastic Coconut Matcha.
Food is no afterthought either. Crafted by chef Arjyo Banerjee, the all-day menu features everything from artisanal sandwiches and pastas to indulgent desserts. Highlights include Fried Chicken Crombollini, Pepperoncini Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Roasted Tomato Basil Bocconcini Pide, and a line-up of sweet treats like the Choco Chip Berliner and Tiramisu Paris Brest.
For those who’d rather take the experience home, Coffee Island also brings a retail range of cold brews, pour-overs, protein coffees, teas, and craft chocolates. The cafés themselves have been designed with sustainability in mind, using eco-friendly materials and practices, including biodegradable cups and upcycling coffee waste into new products.
With a presence already in Delhi, Gurgaon, and Hyderabad, Pune marks Coffee Island’s latest step in its India journey. The brand has big plans ahead—expanding to Mumbai, Bangalore, and eventually 250 cafés across the country by 2029, with eyes also on neighbouring countries. For now, though, Pune has two new reasons to linger over its coffee.
