Digi Yatra, a self-sovereign identity ecosystem employing facial recognition technology for smooth passenger processing at airports, will be an event partner at the Inter Passenger Terminal Show (IPTS) 2025, scheduled for June 11-12 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.

The event will feature expert panels, demonstrations of future technologies, networking opportunities, and masterclasses discussing advancements in terminal design, smart tech, sustainability, and personalised passenger experiences within India’s airport industry.

Suresh Khadakbhavi, CEO of Digi Yatra Foundation, will lead a masterclass titled “Digi Yatra: Enabling Seamless Airport Journeys” on the first day. The session will explore how Digi Yatra’s contactless biometric solutions, built on privacy-by-design principles and Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), are transforming airport operations. Since its introduction in 2022, Digi Yatra has expanded to 24 airports, with over 13 million app downloads supporting 56 million journeys through facial recognition.

Khadakbhavi commented, “India’s aviation sector is undergoing a transformative shift, driven by innovation and a commitment to seamless travel. Through this event, we aim to accelerate the adoption of digital solutions, ensuring efficient passenger experiences while advancing India’s global aviation ambitions. At IPTS 2025, our Masterclass will demonstrate technology’s role in modernising airports. We look forward to forging partnerships that will enhance connectivity and innovation and shape India’s aviation future.”
