Resort Confirms Major Expansion of Second Park

Disneyland Paris will open Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026, marking a significant expansion of its second park. The development will introduce World of Frozen, new attractions, themed avenues, lands and a night-time show.

The expansion will replace Walt Disney Studios Park with a redesigned area anchored by Adventure Way, a main promenade connecting lands based on Disney Animation, Pixar and Marvel productions. The site will include a Tangled attraction, a lake called Adventure Bay with a night-time show, dining spaces, entertainment and character experiences.

World of Frozen will recreate the Kingdom of Arendelle, with attractions, live entertainment, dining and retail. The Frozen Ever After boat ride will use Audio-Animatronics and projection technology. A daytime production called A Celebration in Arendelle will be staged on the bay. Visitors will be able to meet Olaf through robotics technology and dine at the Nordic Crowns Tavern.

The land’s architecture will include a 36-metre North Mountain, Elsa’s Ice Palace, and decorative rosemaling patterns on buildings. Landscaping will be influenced by Nordic flora.

Disney Adventure World will also include Worlds of Pixar, with attractions such as Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquee de Remy and Crush’s Coaster, as well as Marvel Avengers Campus, offering experiences based on characters from the franchise. Adventure Bay, covering 7.5 acres, will serve as the centre of these areas and host day and night productions.

The night-time show, Disney Cascade of Lights, will combine drones, pyrotechnics, fountains and music, including new compositions. The show will take place in Adventure Bay.

Adventure Way will function as the main avenue between lands. Its features will include the Raiponce Tangled Spin attraction and The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, with table service and character dining overlooking the lake.

Fourteen new food and beverage venues will open, including Café Luminosity and Terrasse Panoramique. The Regal View Lounge will be the first bar at Disneyland Paris, offering cocktails and views of the lake.

Disney Adventure World will provide audio description services, assistive devices and mobility-friendly attractions. Visitors will be able to use Disney Premier Access for faster entry, reserved viewing and priority seating.

Future development will include an Up-themed family attraction and a Lion King-themed land.

Reflecting on the transformation, Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, stated, “March 29, 2026, will mark a historic milestone for Disneyland Paris with the transformation of our second park into Disney Adventure World and the opening of its spectacular expansion featuring World of Frozen. This step represents our most ambitious transformation to date, bringing deeper storytelling, stronger emotions, and unforgettable experiences that only Disney can deliver.”

The investment of EUR2 billion forms part of the resort’s ongoing plan to expand its offer through technology and storytelling.
