Aralea Beach Resort, part of Stone Wood Hotels & Resorts, is increasingly recognised as a notable destination for beach weddings in Goa. Located on the shores of Morjim Beach, it combines natural beauty with tailored services for couples seeking a coastal celebration.

As the wedding season approaches, the resort is upgrading its offerings, including a beachfront mandap with views of the Arabian Sea, and flexible spaces such as lawns and a banquet hall for smaller, personalised ceremonies. The 69 rooms are being prepared to host wedding parties with special amenities, while the on-site restaurant is expanding its menu to showcase local Goan dishes alongside international cuisine.

The popularity of beach weddings in Goa continues to grow, with Morjim offering a quieter, more exclusive setting compared to busier beaches in South Goa. The resort notes a 40 per cent rise in beach wedding bookings over the past year, driven by demand for intimate, experience-driven celebrations that highlight Goa’s natural and cultural appeal.

"What sets Goa apart in India's wedding market is the perfect combination of natural beauty, cultural richness, and modern infrastructure," explains Abhijit Dey, Vice President Operations & Sales. "At Aralea, we're seeing couples book their beach weddings 8-12 months in advance, with a particular focus on creating authentic Goan experiences for their guests. From local cuisine showcases to beachfront cocktail ceremonies incorporating Goan traditions, couples are looking to give their guests a genuine taste of Goa while celebrating their union."

New for this season are customised wedding packages focused on micro-weddings with bespoke touches, eco-friendly décor options in partnership with local artisans, and immersive Goan cultural experiences such as traditional cuisine and beachfront ceremonies. The resort’s proximity to Goa’s Mopa Airport (30 km away) enhances its accessibility for both domestic and international guests.

By promoting authentic Goan traditions and sustainable practices, Aralea Beach Resort aims to position Morjim as a leading destination for luxury coastal weddings that reflect local culture and environmental consciousness.
