Encalm Hospitality has joined forces with the inaugural GMR Rugby Premier League (GMR RPL), set to take centre stage at Mumbai’s Andheri Sports Complex from June 15 to 29, 2025. As a key partner, the brand aims to elevate the on-ground experience for players, teams, and supporters alike.

This exciting partnership marks a significant milestone for Encalm, moving beyond airport hospitality to create unforgettable moments in live sporting events. The GMR RPL — India’s first franchise-based Rugby Sevens league — will feature six dynamic teams including Delhi Redz, Hyderabad Heroes, Kalinga Black Tigers, Chennai Bulls, Mumbai Dreamers, and Bengaluru Bravehearts. Over 15 days and 34 matches, the league will showcase top local and international rugby talent, broadcast on Star Sports, JioCinema, and RugbyPass TV — making it a key highlight of India’s sporting calendar.

Encalm’s involvement in the league reflects its commitment to excellence and its ability to deliver consistently elevated experiences, now in a new and energetic arena.  Known for its impeccable lounge services, meet & assist solutions, and premium touch points across India’s major airports, Encalm is extending its service ethos beyond terminals and into the hearts of communities, where sport, celebration, and connection thrive.
Speaking about the partnership, Vikas Sharma, CEO, Encalm Hospitality, said, “At its heart, Encalm is about connection—between people, places, and experiences. Supporting GMR RPL is our way of engaging with a new and passionate community. This partnership also reflects our continued evolution as a brand. GMR RPL is a dynamic platform, and we’re excited to play a role in enhancing how audiences experience the game.”

As rugby continues to grow across over 320 districts in India, the RPL isn’t just launching a league — it’s igniting a movement. Backed by a decade-long partnership between Rugby India and GMR Sports, the league aims to develop talent from grassroots to international level, with aspirations of Olympic qualification by 2032 and 2036.
