Tourism Fiji has announced that the Fiji Tourism Exchange (FTE) will return on March 27–28, 2026, bringing together the global travel trade, media, and Fiji’s tourism operators for two vibrant days of business networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing the very best of Fiji’s experiences.
Recognised as Fiji’s premier tourism industry event, FTE plays a vital role in linking international buyers with local tourism products, creating opportunities for partnerships that strengthen and grow the sector.
In 2025, the event drew participants from 19 countries, including 147 international buyers and media and 84 seller organisations, generating more than 4,300 business meetings and attracting over 560 attendees in total. These strong results underscore FTE’s importance as a platform for meaningful connections and business growth.
“FTE has always been about creating meaningful connections between our tourism industry and the global travel trade,” said Robert Thompson, Executive Head of Regions. “By bringing everyone together ahead of our peak season, we’re giving our partners the best possible platform to secure new business, discover fresh opportunities, and share the unique stories that make Fiji so special. We’re excited to build on last year’s success and welcome even more partners to experience the warmth and vibrancy of our tourism industry in 2026.”
The 2026 edition is poised to build on this momentum, with a broader mix of international buyers, innovative networking formats, and a continued focus on sustainability and authentic Fijian experiences. Next year’s timing reflects a strategic decision to align the event with seasonal travel patterns, ensuring it occurs ahead of Fiji’s peak visitor period while maximising benefits for both international partners and local operators. Tourism Fiji will release further details on the programme, registration dates, and new initiatives in the coming months.
