After more than a decade, Finnair is all set to resume flights to Toronto, Canada, starting 4 May 2026. The airline will operate three direct flights a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays—connecting travellers to Canada’s largest and most dynamic city.
Finnair last flew to Toronto in the summer of 2015, making this route reopening a much-anticipated return for both leisure and business travellers. With its modern skyline, rich cultural diversity, and vibrant city life, Toronto stands as a key global destination. The city also serves as a gateway to Niagara Falls, located just over 100 kilometres away, offering visitors a chance to combine urban exploration with natural wonders.
This move strengthens Finnair’s North American network, which will also include direct services to New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and Seattle during the 2026 summer season. The expanded network is part of Finnair’s ongoing strategy to offer convenient and seamless connections between Europe and North America.
"We are excited to grow our North American network and bring Canada back as a destination. Toronto is a popular travel destination and offers especially our European customers great connections also to other parts of Canada,” says Christine Rovelli, Finnair’s Chief Revenue Officer.
For Indian and European travellers planning to explore Canada next summer, Finnair’s return to Toronto offers an easy and efficient option. With smooth connections via Helsinki, the airline is well-positioned to serve as a bridge between continents.
Whether you're heading to Toronto for business, exploring its vibrant arts scene, or planning a scenic trip to Niagara Falls, Finnair’s new route adds more choice, flexibility and comfort to your journey. Plan ahead, pack your bags, and get ready to fly to Toronto with Finnair in May 2026.
