The German National Tourist Office (GNTO) India has intensified its focus on the burgeoning Indian outbound travel market, showcasing Germany as a diverse and enriching destination. A key element of this strategy is the strengthened collaboration with its esteemed ‘India Pool’ partners, who are eager to welcome Indian travellers to their regions and outlets with bespoke experiences.

India remains a vital source market for German tourism, demonstrating steady growth in visitor numbers and overnight stays. From January to June 2025, India accounted for 440,000 overnight stays in Germany. This consistent rise underscores the growing interest and trust Indian travellers place in Germany as their preferred destination.

Indian travellers are increasingly seeking authentic, immersive, and high-quality experiences, whether travelling with family, as young explorers, or solo travellers. Germany is uniquely positioned to cater to these diverse preferences, offering a blend of vibrant city life, breathtaking natural landscapes, rich history, cultural treasures, and exclusive luxury wellness retreats.

“We are incredibly excited about the potential of the Indian market and deeply value the increasing number of Indian visitors choosing Germany for their travels,” said Romit Theophilus, Director for Marketing & Sales Office, GNTO India. “Our ‘India Pool’ partners represent the very best of what Germany has to offer, and we are working closely with them to ensure that Indian travellers receive a truly memorable and personalised experience.”
