The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, celebrated a prestigious achievement at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad 2025, where it was honoured with the Excellence Award for its ‘Goa Beyond Beaches’ campaign. The accolade was presented at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, during the event held from July 31 to August 2, 2025.

Led by Pravinkumar Faldessai, Senior Manager of GTDC, alongside Concy Pereira, Assistant Tourism Officer, and Isabelinda Vaz, Information Assistant, the Goa delegation actively engaged with travel agents, tour operators, and media partners throughout the three-day exhibition.

Commenting on the achievement, Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, Government of Goa, said, “We are honoured to receive this recognition atTTFAhmedabad2025. The ‘GoaBeyondBeaches’ campaign is part of our mission to create a more inclusive, responsible, and diversified tourism experience. This award validates our ongoing efforts to make Goa a 12-month destination anchored in sustainability, culture, and community participation.”

This accolade underscores Goa Tourism’s strategic shift to showcase the state as more than just sun and sand. It celebrates the Department’s dedication to regenerative tourism, emphasising experiences encompassing heritage, hinterlands, culture, festivals, and community-led initiatives.

The Goa Pavilion attracted considerable interest for its immersive storytelling, highlighting themes such as wellness and Ayurveda, spiritual tourism, adventure, monsoon travel, and rural experiences led by local communities. The display also featured Goa’s vibrant festival calendar, including Chikhal Kalo, Sao Joao, Shigmo, Spirit of Goa, and Carnaval — all drawing experiential travellers from across India.

Participation at TTF Ahmedabad is part of the Department’s broader strategy to promote Goa as a destination that unites tradition and innovation, cementing its reputation as a future-ready tourism hotspot.
