The Goa Tourism Pavilion opened to an enthusiastic response at TTF Kolkata 2025, offering a refreshing look at the state’s evolving tourism identity—one that goes far beyond its famed beaches. Held at Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, the travel trade event is one of India’s top tourism showcases, drawing in travel professionals, tourism boards, and stakeholders from across the country.

Representing the state were Dhiraj Wagle, Deputy Director of Tourism, and Akshay Govenkar, Marketing Manager of GTDC, who, along with their team, actively engaged with delegates and visitors. Their message was clear: Goa is not just a destination, it’s a community-led, sustainable experience rooted in heritage and diversity.

Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism stated, “Goa Tourism is showcasing a range of experiences that reflect the state’s evolving identity. From spiritual trails to immersive monsoon campaigns, the focus is on meaningful and responsible travel. “We aim to offer visitors a deeper, more authentic way to experience Goa.”

This year’s pavilion is built around the theme of responsible and regenerative tourism, highlighting initiatives that champion local culture and eco-friendly travel. Visitors explored unique offerings like monsoon-based holidays, spiritual tourism circuits, and hinterland discovery trails—a stark contrast to Goa’s usual sun, sand, and sea image.

Adding to the immersive storytelling, digital innovation plays a central role. Interactive QR-based information points and VR experiences were introduced, giving guests a multisensory glimpse into Goa’s festivals, rural life, landscapes, and cultural rhythms. These tools not only elevated the booth experience but reflected the state’s larger digital-first approach to tourism outreach.

In the days ahead, the Goa Tourism team will continue holding discussions with tour operators, tourism boards, and travel agents, aiming to strengthen partnerships and position Goa as one of India’s most versatile, culturally rich, and forward-thinking destinations.

The message from Goa at TTF Kolkata is both timely and inspiring: a call to explore deeper, travel mindfully, and discover the stories waiting beyond the coastline.
