Goa Tourism welcomes First UK charter arrivals of winter 2025–26

Strengthening UK–Goa travel links for the winter season

Goa Tourism welcomed the first charter flights of the winter 2025–26 season operated by TUI Airways from the United Kingdom, marking the start of direct connectivity between Manchester and London Gatwick to Manohar International Airport (MOPA).

The first charter from Manchester arrived on November 5 carrying 282 passengers, followed by the second flight from London Gatwick on November 6 with 288 passengers. Operated under the supervision of Freedom Holidays Pvt. Ltd., the services further strengthen Goa’s international access and appeal to long-haul travellers.

With direct routes now linking Manchester Airport (MAN) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW) to Manohar International Airport (GOX), Goa is better positioned to attract visitors seeking cultural, wellness, spiritual, and adventure-based experiences.

Rohan A. Khaunte, Minister for Tourism, said, “The start of the charter season by TUI Airways reflects the continued interest Goa enjoys among travellers from the United Kingdom. As we expand our global reach, our endeavour is to offer experiences rooted in cultural ethos while supporting local communities and sustainable growth. We look forward to a promising season ahead.”

Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, added, “This development further strengthens international travel in Goa. We remain committed to working with partners to deliver a smooth, responsible, and enriching experience for visitors.”

The collaboration highlights Goa’s increasing recognition as a preferred long-haul destination and reinforces its focus on community-led, sustainable tourism. The Department of Tourism continues to support initiatives that ensure seamless arrivals and promote Goa as a year-round destination for global travellers.
