Hong Kong has unveiled its Hong Kong WinterFest programme running from November 14, 2025 to January 4, 2026. The celebration transforms Central district into a winter wonderland with light installations, Christmas markets and seasonal attractions.

The "Winter Wonderland in Central" includes an immersive light show projected across eight iconic buildings, a 20-metre-high Christmas tree at Statue Square Garden, and Starlight Boulevard along Chater Road. The LANDMARK ATRIUM features "Noëlia at LANDMARK" with Hong Kong's largest interactive Wishing Lake measuring 12x12 meters.

Dr Peter Lam, Chairman of Hong Kong Tourism Board, said: "This year's Hong Kong WinterFest is being presented in a new format and features the most extensive lineup and richest event elements to date. We aim to create a strong festive atmosphere citywide and reinforce Hong Kong's position as Asia's top winter travel destination. We are delighted to collaborate with Hongkong Land to turn Central into a Winter Wonderland."

The Christmas Town at Statue Square Garden opens on 14 November with toy-themed decorations, live carol performances and Santa Claus appearances. A Christmas market with twelve festive chalets begins operation on 28 November, offering seasonal food, gifts and workshops.

The immersive light show uses 3D projection mapping to display reindeer, angels and snowmen across building facades, synchronized with holiday music. The show runs from 28 November to 4 January, creating animated scenes that appear to move between buildings and trees.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board will launch its WinterFest Delights campaign in December, featuring more than 300 exclusive offers for dining, shopping, attractions and transport. The celebration culminates with New Year's Eve fireworks as the final highlight of the festival period.

Hong Kong positions itself as a convenient festive destination for Indian travellers, with direct flights available from major Indian cities. The event aims to stimulate seasonal tourism during the Christmas and New Year period through citywide decorations and special events.
