he ICONIC Tourism Summit & Awards 2025, hosted at ITC Maurya, New Delhi, positioned itself as a key forum for dialogue on the future of travel. Organised by Redhat Communications in collaboration with TV9 Network, the event brought together policymakers, diplomats, industry leaders and cultural figures for a day of discussions and recognition.
Centred on the theme “Innovation, Transformation, and Impact,” the morning conclave featured sessions on content-led tourism, domestic initiatives, and experiential travel. Niharika Rai, IAS, highlighted the need to showcase Delhi’s diverse offerings, while Mugdha Sinha, MD of ITDC, emphasised the rising importance of wellness and cultural connections in travel. “Tourism today is not just about destinations, but about creating meaningful journeys that enrich communities and cultures.”
Aviation insights came from IndiGo’s Anshul Sethi, who underlined the role of connectivity in inspiring exploration.
The evening ICONIC Awards Ceremony was attended by Union Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who hailed tourism as a pillar of India’s growth. Leaders including Amitabh Kant, Jyotsna Suri and Suman Billa joined panels that explored sustainability, collaboration and India’s place in global tourism.
Adding an international dimension, ambassadors and representatives from countries such as Kenya, South Africa, Egypt and Greece also marked their presence. Awards were conferred by a distinguished jury featuring business, political and hospitality leaders.
Jyoti Mayal, CEO of Redhat Communications & Chairperson, THSC, summed up the event, “ICONIC 2025 is a collective movement bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to shape the future of tourism.” The event highlighted India’s growing role as a hub of innovation, collaboration and leadership in global travel.
