IHCL Opens New Coastal Retreat in Alibaug, Maharashtra

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Taj Alibaug Resort & Spa in Maharashtra, a new coastal destination amid lush gardens and swaying palms.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO, IHCL, said, “Located across the shore, Alibaug has long been a favoured leisure destination for Mumbaikars. The launch of Taj Alibaug Resort & Spa marks IHCL’s debut in this micro-market, further strengthening our presence in Mumbai’s leisure circuit and expanding our brandscape and footprint in Maharashtra.

The resort offers 156 rooms, suites, and villas, designed with natural textures and soft colours, inspired by the coast. Its architecture blends modern style with earthy elements, integrating seamlessly with the surrounding gardens and courtyards.

Dining options include Aparanta, an all-day restaurant; Konkan Café, highlighting regional coastal cuisine; and 24 Alive, a bar serving handcrafted cocktails. Guests can also enjoy holistic treatments at J Wellness Circle, which combines traditional Indian healing practices with contemporary therapies. The venue has multiple indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for social events and gatherings.

Recreational facilities feature a swimming pool, fitness centre, and a dedicated activities area for children.
