Indians Asked To Remain Vigilant And Avoid Unnecessary Travel
The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has issued a fresh advisory urging Indian nationals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to remain cautious amid rising tensions across the Middle East. The advisory asks members of the Indian community to avoid unnecessary travel, stay alert, and follow safety guidelines issued by local authorities and the Indian mission.
The move comes at a time when the region is witnessing heightened geopolitical tensions and security alerts. Recent military developments and airspace disruptions have affected travel and created uncertainty across parts of the Gulf. In response, Indian authorities have issued precautionary guidance to help ensure the safety and well-being of Indian nationals living in the UAE.
In its official notice, the embassy advised Indians in the UAE to “avoid unnecessary travel, take due care, remain vigilant, and follow safety guidelines and advisories” issued by the UAE authorities and the embassy itself. The advisory also emphasised that both the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai continue to operate normally and will provide updates as the situation develops.
Indian nationals have also been encouraged to rely only on verified information from official government channels and avoid spreading rumours or unconfirmed updates on social media. Authorities say that misinformation during sensitive situations can create unnecessary panic and confusion.
For emergencies, the embassy has shared helpline numbers and communication channels, including a toll-free helpline, WhatsApp support, and email contacts. These services are intended to assist Indian citizens who may face travel disruptions or other concerns during the current situation.
The advisory becomes significant as the UAE hosts one of the largest Indian communities in the world. More than 3.5 million Indians live and work in the country, making them a key part of the UAE’s workforce and society.
