India is entering an exciting phase in its food journey. Already the world’s largest producer of milk and spices, and among the top growers of fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meat, the country’s diverse agro-climatic landscape has made it a powerhouse of raw materials. As urbanisation rises and diets evolve, food consumption is projected to reach $1.2 trillion by 2025–26. Riding on this growth, the food ingredients and packaging industries are witnessing unprecedented transformation.

Speaking about the 2025 edition, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director (MD), Informa Markets in India, said, “As India’s food and beverage landscape undergoes a remarkable transformation, driven by a growing focus on health, wellness and functionality, platforms like Fi India and ProPak India 2025 are playing a significant role in accelerating this evolution. With consumers increasingly prioritising nutritional benefits over conventional preferences, the functional food and beverage market in India is expected to rise from USD 6.20 billion in 2024 to $16.25 billion by 2033, at a CAGR of 11.30 per cent. Fi India and ProPak India bring together leading innovators, solution providers, and thought leaders under one roof, enabling collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and business opportunities that align with the future of food. These co-located events are not just exhibitions; they are enablers of sustainable growth, technological advancement, and consumer-centric innovation.”

According to market estimates, India’s food ingredients sector is expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 6.7 per cent, with the speciality ingredients segment alone expected to cross USD 8.3 billion by 2033. Health-conscious consumers are driving demand for clean-label, plant-based, and functional products, influencing everything from R&D to competitive positioning across the F&B landscape. At the same time, packaging is no longer just about cost efficiency — sustainability, automation, and traceability are shaping the new playbook. With 75 per cent of global buyers ready to pay more for eco-friendly packaging, and 68 per cent voicing concerns over plastic waste, India’s packaging market is expected to grow nearly 11 per cent annually, touching USD 140 billion by 2029.

Industry Showcase in Noida

Against this backdrop, Informa Markets in India is set to host the 19th edition of Fi India and the 7th edition of ProPak India from 3rd to 5th September 2025 at India Expo Mart (IEML), Greater Noida. The co-located events are expected to bring together over 15,000 professionals, 1,200 brands, and delegates from more than 50 countries, making it one of the most influential gatherings for food ingredients, processing, and packaging.

Fi India 2025 will spotlight a wide spectrum of categories including functional ingredients, stabilisers, thickeners, flavours, fragrances, plant-based proteins, nutraceuticals, and natural extracts. Leading names such as Brenntag Ingredients, IMCD, Synthite Industries, Novozymes South Asia, Kerry Ingredients, and Plant Lipids will be among those presenting their innovations.

On the processing and packaging side, ProPak India 2025 will showcase the latest solutions in automation, sustainability, and efficiency, with participation from players like Goma Engineering, Wraptech Machines, Serac Packaging Solutions, and Sacmi. The platform is expected to attract key stakeholders from India’s biggest F&B names, including Nestlé India, Amul, ITC Foods, Britannia, PepsiCo, Dabur, and Tata Consumer Products.

Knowledge and Networking

Beyond the exhibition floors, both shows have been curated to create high-value engagement for industry professionals. The Innovative Product Showcase will serve as a launchpad for breakthrough products, while the Fund Quest session on the final day will connect emerging food start-ups with venture capitalists, angel investors, and family offices. The Global Trend Zone, developed with Mintel, will offer research-backed insights into consumer behaviour and international product innovations.

Live culinary demonstrations by celebrated chefs and an interactive conference programme featuring over 25 speakers across 10 sessions will add flavour to the agenda. ProPak India, meanwhile, will feature a dedicated MSME Pavilion, business matchmaking services, and live equipment demonstrations to help attendees find solutions for their operations.

Spotlight on Sustainability

Sustainability remains a recurring theme at both shows, with particular focus on clean-label adoption, eco-friendly sourcing, and responsible packaging. The return of the Fi India Awards will recognise excellence in innovation and leadership across the food and beverage ingredients ecosystem.

Industry Support

The credibility of the events is further strengthened by the backing of leading associations such as AFSTI – Delhi Chapter, CASMB, AIFPA, HADSA, IBA, and SIB. Together, they underline the importance of this platform for knowledge exchange, sourcing, and building partnerships across India’s food value chain.
