IndiGo Announces Direct Flights from Madurai to Abu Dhabi

IndiGo will launch direct flights between Madurai and Abu Dhabi from June 13, 2025, operating three times a week. This will be the airline’s 16^th Indian city with direct connectivity to the United Arab Emirates. The new service follows recent announcements of direct flights from Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam to Abu Dhabi.

The direct route aims to improve international links for Madurai, supporting exports of local goods like textiles and agricultural products, while reducing travel times for passengers. IndiGo's international network now includes over 280 weekly flights to five destinations in the UAE from 20 Indian cities.

Madurai, a historic city in Tamil Nadu known for its Meenakshi Amman Temple, is a centre for culture, textiles, and healthcare. Abu Dhabi, UAE’s capital, blends tradition with modernity, famous for its cultural sites and economic significance.
