IndiGo commenced commercial operations from the newly inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport on December 25, 2025. The first arrival was from Bengaluru, followed by the first departure to Hyderabad on the same day.

As part of the initial phase, IndiGo is connecting Navi Mumbai International Airport to thirteen domestic destinations. Daily services to and from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Cochin, Delhi, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Nagpur and Goa (Mopa) commenced on December 25, 2025. Daily flights to Jaipur began on December 26, 2025.

Further expansion from the airport includes daily services to Chennai and Coimbatore starting on December 29, 2025, and five weekly flights to Vadodara beginning on December 30, 2025.

Commenting on the development, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo, said, “We are pleased to commence operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), the second airport in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This enables us to offer even greater travel choices to travellers to/from Mumbai. Initially, IndiGo will connect NMIA to over 10 key destinations across the nation. These newly launched services will support the growth of this brand-new aviation gateway and complement Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.”

The start of operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport forms part of IndiGo’s strategy to develop the airport as an additional aviation gateway for the region, supporting capacity growth and improving accessibility for passengers travelling to and from Mumbai.
