Celebrating Girl Power
IndiGo has announced that it now employs over 1,000 women pilots, making it the first and only airline in India to reach this milestone. Women pilots make up 17.5 per cent of IndiGo’s total pilot workforce, more than three times the global average.
The airline is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the ambitions of India’s next generation of women in aviation. Women now account for over 45 per cent of IndiGo’s total workforce, with growing opportunities across all roles. Outside the cockpit, women make up over 30 per cent of airport operations staff, nearly 25 per cent of the Operations Control Centre team, more than 20 per cent in finance, over 15 per cent in digital, and hold more than 23 per cent of leadership positions.

IndiGo also launched a special film on Girl Power Observing International Women’s Day, it unveiled the film on social media. Bringing alive the theme of Girl Power, the video depicts women of IndiGo, celebrating moments that gave them their wings.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at IndiGo
