In a significant move to bolster its international network, IndiGo has announced the introduction of direct flights between Bengaluru and Riyadh, effective November 16, 2025. The new route will be serviced by IndiGo’s Airbus A320 aircraft, providing travellers with enhanced accessibility, competitive fares, and seamless connectivity. With this launch, Riyadh becomes the second city in Saudi Arabia—after Jeddah—to be linked directly to Bengaluru, India’s bustling technology and innovation hub.

The expansion reflects IndiGo’s growing footprint across the Middle East, where it now connects India to four major Saudi cities—Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah—alongside a widening network of regional routes. The Bengaluru–Riyadh service is expected to support rising passenger demand driven by business exchanges, trade relations, tourism, and the movement of professionals and workers between the two nations.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Sales at IndiGo, commented: “Riyadh, as Saudi Arabia’s dynamic capital and a pivotal centre for commerce and investment, holds strategic importance for IndiGo. The introduction of this route from Bengaluru marks our fourth non-stop connection to Riyadh—joining existing services from Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. This expansion not only facilitates smoother travel for corporate travellers and the large workforce commuting between South India and the Gulf but also reinforces IndiGo’s commitment to strengthening air links across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region.”

The new flights are scheduled to operate on select days of the week, with departures from Bengaluru at 22:05, arriving in Riyadh at 01:20 the following day. Return flights will depart Riyadh at 02:20 and land in Bengaluru at 09:15 local time. The carefully timed slots aim to offer optimal connectivity for both business and leisure travellers.
