Expanded India–UK Air Connectivity from Delhi
IndiGo announced the launch of direct flights between Delhi and London Heathrow, effective February 2, 2026. The airline will operate five flights per week on the route using Boeing 787 aircraft leased wet or damp from Norse Atlantic Airways.
The aircraft will feature a dual-class configuration, offering IndiGoStretch and Economy Class. With this addition, IndiGo will operate a total of twelve weekly flights to London, including its existing daily direct services between Mumbai and London Heathrow.
The Delhi–London service forms part of IndiGo’s continued international expansion from the National Capital, following the launch of flights to Denpasar, Krabi, Hanoi, Guangzhou and Manchester. The airline has also announced the introduction of direct services to Athens starting in January 2026.
Over the past twelve months, IndiGo has added ten new international destinations and more than thirty new international routes from multiple points across India, reflecting its ongoing internationalisation strategy.
Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer at IndiGo, said, “We are pleased to introduce direct flights between Delhi and London, offering more travel options between India and the United Kingdom. This follows the recent launch of our direct flights from Mumbai to London, and service from Delhi and Mumbai to Manchester. This new service is expected to support the growing demand for travel between the two cities for commerce, tourism, and visiting family and friends. IndiGo is committed to making international travel seamless and more accessible, while strengthening connectivity between India and key global destinations.”
