Travellers keen to explore Cambodia’s ancient wonders will soon find the journey more convenient, as IndiGo launches direct flights between Kolkata and Siem Reap from November 13, 2025. The airline will operate the new service three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, making it the first Indian carrier to offer direct connectivity between India and Cambodia.

The flights will be operated using IndiGo’s Airbus A320neo aircraft. Services from Kolkata will depart at 1:50 am and land in Siem Reap at 6:20 am local time, while return flights will take off at 7:20 am from Siem Reap and reach Kolkata at 8:55 am.

Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, said, “In line with our commitment to connecting India to key global destinations, we are delighted to be the first Indian carrier to offer direct flights to Cambodia. This service not only enhances international connectivity from Kolkata but also provides convenient connection from the rest of India to Cambodia via Kolkata, leveraging IndiGo’s extensive domestic network. With Kolkata’s strategic location, and Siem Reap as our 7th international destination from the city, the route is a natural fit for our expanding network. With rising travel demand between the two countries fuelled by convenient Visa rules and growing trade, we are confident that these flights will not only boost tourism but also open new avenues for cultural exchange and economic cooperation.”

For Indian holidaymakers, this new route opens the door to one of Southeast Asia’s most sought-after destinations. Siem Reap is home to the iconic Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with a vibrant mix of markets, cultural performances and lively food experiences. With Visa on Arrival and quick e-Visa options available for Indian passport holders, the journey promises to be smooth and accessible.

The launch also benefits travellers from Cambodia and Southeast Asia, who will gain access to IndiGo’s extensive domestic network of over 90 cities across India. Whether for cultural exploration or seamless onward travel, the new flights provide a welcome bridge between India and Cambodia.

Bookings are now open through the IndiGo website, mobile app and authorised travel partners.
