Israel made a striking return to the Indian travel stage at BLTM 2025, winning the ‘Best Booth Decoration Award’ for its pavilion that blended heritage with modern appeal. Designed to capture the spirit of Jerusalem’s Old City walls, Tel Aviv’s beaches, and the healing waters of the Dead Sea, the pavilion welcomed more than 5,000 visitors and hosted over 500 B2B meetings during the three-day event at the India International Convention Centre.
The inauguration was led by Galit Hoffman, Consul – Tourism Affairs for India, Israel Ministry of Tourism, alongside Shri Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, NCT of Delhi. Mishra praised the pavilion’s creativity and the enthusiasm it brought to the showcase.
Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing – IMOT India, said: “BLTM gave us the opportunity to present Israel’s true breadth- as a destination that blends business with leisure, heritage with innovation, and snow with desert. For Indian travellers, Israel is not only efficient for events but also inspiring and unforgettable.”
Positioning itself as a complete destination, Israel presented experiences that appeal across different travel segments. For MICE travellers, the country highlighted its modern convention centres, robust infrastructure, and curated incentive programmes. Weddings also took centre stage, with Israel offering an enticing mix of ancient sites, contemporary venues, and scenic landscapes—ideal for Indian couples seeking unique destination celebrations.
Leisure and family travel were equally in focus, with diverse options such as desert treks, skiing on Mount Hermon, floating in the Dead Sea, and enjoying the buzz of Tel Aviv’s beaches. The debut participation of Noah Tours, a leading Israeli destination management company, further strengthened engagement with Indian corporates, wedding planners, and agents by offering bespoke itineraries.
Israel’s recognition at BLTM reflects not only its creative showcase but also its renewed efforts to strengthen ties with the Indian market. With a blend of history, culture, and modern experiences, the destination reaffirmed its appeal as both dynamic and versatile for today’s travellers.
Galit Hoffman, Consul – Tourism Affairs for India, added, “India and Israel share strong and long-standing ties, and tourism plays an important role in strengthening those bonds. With India as Israel’s top Asian market and ranking 11th globally, we see tremendous potential in deepening our cooperation through MICE, destination weddings, and strategic partnerships that connect people and economies.”
