Japan Airlines (JAL) is set to commence non-stop service between Tokyo Narita and Delhi from January 17, 2026.
This new route complements the existing Tokyo Haneda–Delhi service, significantly enhancing convenience for both business and leisure travellers and providing more options for passengers travelling between India and Japan, including connections to and from other destinations within JAL’s extensive international and domestic network.
India’s economy is experiencing substantial growth, with travel demand between Japan, India, and North America expanding considerably. In meeting this growing demand, the Narita–Delhi service will contribute to further travel growth across these regions.
The route will operate alongside the current Narita–Bengaluru service, strengthening Narita’s position as a major gateway linking these regions.
Additionally, an expanded codeshare partnership with IndiGo now includes JAL-operated flights between Japan and India, delivering seamless connectivity and enhanced travel options for customers flying between the two countries.
This network expansion marks a significant milestone in JAL’s long-standing engagement with the Indian market, dating back to the first scheduled service to Delhi on 4 May 1965. For over 60 years, JAL has supported Japan–India relations, contributing to deepened ties between the two nations, and through this expanded service, JAL aims to foster even deeper links for the next 60 years.
