Jordan Tourism Board concludes Japan exhibition in Tokyo

Jordan is seeking to strengthen its ties with Japan’s travel market, with the Jordan Tourism Board recently concluding exhibitions in Tokyo and Osaka. The events brought together tourism officials, travel agencies and cultural representatives, aiming to introduce Japanese travellers to the kingdom’s diverse experiences.

In Tokyo, the programme opened with a tourism forum attended by leading Japanese travel agencies. Delegates presented Jordan’s blend of history, culture and landscapes, from the rose-red city of Petra to the deserts of Wadi Rum and the healing waters of the Dead Sea. Business meetings and media interactions provided further opportunities to promote Jordan’s attractions and strengthen travel partnerships.

Minister of Tourism & Antiquities, Dr. Emad Naim Hejazeen, emphasised that promoting Jordan in the Japanese market is a strategic step. He noted that Jordanian tourism offers unique attractions that appeal to Japanese visitors seeking exceptional cultural and historical experiences. “We are committed to strengthening cooperation with our partners in Japan and opening new avenues for tourism investment, contributing to the sector’s growth and supporting the national economy,” he added.

At the conclusion of the exhibition, Dr Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat, Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board, stated that the participation coincides with Jordan’s presence at the “Japan Expo,” where the Jordanian pavilion presents a comprehensive image of the kingdom, reflecting its history, culture, and tourism and investment offerings. “We take pride in the pavilion’s strong presence and positive engagement with visitors, which enhances Jordan’s international standing and opens new avenues for cooperation with the Japanese market,” he added.

The Osaka exhibition focused not only on tourism but also on investment opportunities. Sessions highlighted key sectors, while bilateral meetings with Japanese companies explored areas of collaboration. Guests also enjoyed a hospitality showcase featuring Jordanian cuisine, heritage displays and live cultural performances.

Adding a unique touch, Jordanian musician Talal Abu Al Ragheb performed in both cities, infusing the exhibitions with music and cultural expression that reflected the nation’s rich heritage.

Japanese media praised the exhibitions for combining tradition with modern promotion tools, noting that Jordan offered the authentic cultural experiences sought by many Japanese travellers. The Jordanian pavilion at Expo Osaka also drew strong attention, with press interviews and extensive coverage emphasising Jordan as not only a tourist destination but also a growing hub for regional investment.
