Maharashtra has taken a significant step to enhance its tourism appeal with the opening of the state’s first-ever glass bridge at Napne Waterfall in Sindhudurg district. This innovative structure aims to draw more visitors to the scenic Konkan coast and promote eco-tourism in the region. The bridge’s inauguration marks a new chapter in Maharashtra’s efforts to diversify its tourist attractions and provide unique experiences to travellers seeking adventure and natural beauty.
The bridge, located in Vaibhavwadi taluka, features transparent panels that provide stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and waterfall below. It was officially opened to the public on Tuesday.
State Minister Nitesh Rane shared a video of the new attraction on social media, describing it as a move towards promoting eco-tourism in the Konkan region.
The structure allows visitors to walk above the waterfall, offering both an exhilarating and scenic experience. Authorities hope the bridge will not only draw more tourists but also give a significant boost to the local economy.
Sindhudurg, renowned for its natural beauty, remains a popular destination along the coastal areas of Maharashtra.
