Mezcalita, Indiranagar

One-Stop Destination For Mexican Food Lovers

Mezcalita has opened a new outlet in Indiranagar, Bengaluru. The brand previously launched in Churchgate in 2023 and Bandra in 2025. Mezcalita serves Mexican-style food and drinks, focusing on the traditional flavours and culture of Mexico.

The restaurant’s menu showcases the rich regional diversity of Mexican cuisine, from the markets of Oaxaca to the coastal flavours of Baja. The dishes reinterpret classic street foods with attention to authenticity and detail. Starters include Chip & Dip Méxicana, Loaded Nachos (Chilaquiles), and Nachos con Chile, all designed for sharing.

The Antojitos section offers popular Mexican street snacks such as Habanero Muerte Picante (tempura protein), Street Cart Corn (Elote de Carrito), and Poncho Potatoes (Papas Rellenas), known for their bold spices and smoky flavours.

Tacos are served in three varieties including masa, flour, or hard shell and each order consists of a single taco, encouraging customers to try multiple types. The burritos are inspired by the traditional name for pack-carrying donkeys in Mexico. Mezcalita also offers tortas, Mexican sandwiches made with freshly baked Telera bread, which is crisp on the outside and soft inside, unique to this location in India.

Vegetarian options include the Portobello Avo-Burger, Veggie Burrito, and Cottage Cheese Torta de Chilaquiles. The Mexi-Conscious section features lighter bowls and fresh flavours for health-conscious diners. Main courses include Fideo Seco (Mexican angel hair pasta), Flautas Ahogadas (crispy taco rolls), and 24-hour BBQ pork ribs served with potatoes, corn dip, cheese sauce, and cabbage salad.

Desserts such as Tres Leches de Cereza and Cinnamon Churros provide a sweet finish. There is also a children’s menu featuring Nachos for Niños and Popcorn Bites.

The bar menu highlights the diversity of agave-based spirits, including tequila and mezcal. The cocktail menu features 11 drinks inspired by the stages of tequila production including Black Rice de Horchata, combining mezcal with black rice, pistachio orgeat, and passionfruit; Aguamiel, which blends tequila with charred bell pepper, cactus, honey water, and jalapeño; and Vamos Bananas, a peanut butter–washed mezcal cocktail inspired by the ageing process.

Classic cocktails are also available, such as the Cha-Chinga (tequila with lime, charred cucumber, jalapeño, coriander, and bird’s eye chili), Oaxaca to Osaka (tequila, sparkling sake, passionfruit, and vanilla), and La Pomela (mezcal with pomelo soda, sweet lime, and Campari salt). For larger groups, Margarita Towers offer a shared cocktail experience. Non-alcoholic options include Agua Frescas and Horchata, providing flavourful alternatives.

Mezcalita Indiranagar makes an impression from the outside with its façade featuring arched windows, illuminated signage, Kannada script and colourful bougainvillea. A bold pink wall with a mezcal proverb leads guests to the hand-painted entrance doors.

Inside, the ground floor centres around the signature Mezcalita-green bar, with backlit shelves, papel picado accents, and a shrine-like spirits display. The atmosphere combines theatrical warmth with intimate lighting, complemented by Mexican décor and locally sourced objects.

The team behind Mezcalita in Bengaluru includes Brand Head Rizwan Amlani, Chef de Cuisine Jonatan Torres Muñoz, Brand Mixologist Sachin Yadav, and Head Bartender Akshay Singh.
