MakeMyTrip has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group (S.H.E), Vietnam’s premier entertainment and hospitality conglomerate. With India increasingly driving inbound tourism to Vietnam, supported by rising travel demand and simplified e-visa policies, inbound arrivals to Vietnam have surged. Indian arrivals rose from 169,000 in 2019 to 392,000 in 2023, a 231 per cent increase. The momentum continued with 501,000 visitors in 2024 and 337,000 arrivals in the first half of 2025. Sun World destinations have mirrored this growth, welcoming nearly 300,000 Indian visitors in the first half of 2025, a 101 per cent increase on the same period in 2024.
Speaking about the partnership, Tran Nguyen, Deputy General Director of Sun Hospitality & Entertainment Group, said, “India is now among Vietnam’s fastest-growing source markets, with arrivals more than tripling since 2019. Through our association with MakeMyTrip, we aim to showcase Sun Group’s world-class destinations to Indian travellers and further strengthen Vietnam’s position as a high-quality, experiential destination of choice.”
Jasmeet Singh, Chief Commercial Officer – Holidays & Experiences at MakeMyTrip, also commented, “Vietnam has become one of the most sought-after destinations for Indian travellers, with demand for holiday packages and experiences growing year after year. Through this association with Sun Group, we aim to bring the best of Vietnam’s resorts, hotels, and world-class attractions into our itineraries, giving Indian travellers a richer and more immersive holiday experience.”
