Morocco Highlights Its MICE Capabilities in India
The Moroccan National Tourism Office successfully concluded a three-city MICE Roadshow to strengthen engagement with travel trade companies in India and support the growth of MICE arrivals to the Kingdom. Held on November 17 in Delhi, November 19 in Mumbai, and November 21 in Kolkata, the roadshow brought together tourism professionals on a common platform to highlight Morocco’s position within the global MICE market. The programme included a destination knowledge session, B2B meetings, and interactive networking, with travel planners showing interest in Morocco for incentive travel, leadership gatherings, reward programmes, and corporate retreats.
Each city hosted participation from leading MICE agencies and event management companies, which interacted with 12 Moroccan stakeholders. The discussions focused on Morocco’s suitability for events of varying scale and its combination of heritage and modern infrastructure. Jamal Kilito, Country Manager of Moroccan National Tourism Office – India, said, “India continues to be a high-value and strategic market for Morocco, especially in the MICE segment. The objective of this roadshow was to showcase Morocco’s ability to host small and scalable events, demonstrating its scale, sophistication, and cultural richness. The response across all three cities has been extremely promising, and we look forward to welcoming more Indian MICE groups to the Kingdom of Light.”
The completion of the MNTO MICE Roadshow serves as a step towards deepening tourism ties between India and Morocco. With outbound MICE travel from India continuing to rise, Morocco is positioning itself as a destination suited for organisations seeking culture-focused, premium, and transformative meetings and incentive experiences. The Moroccan National Tourism Office is the official body responsible for promoting Morocco in global markets and for building visibility for the country’s cultural heritage, varied landscapes, infrastructure, and hospitality. Through its initiatives and partnerships, MNTO seeks to strengthen its presence in India, recognising the country’s growing outbound travel potential.
