The Moustache Group of Hotels is set to inaugurate a new premium property under its Luxuria sub-brand in Jawai, Rajasthan. This launch marks the beginning of an ambitious expansion strategy that will see 25 new properties open across key destinations by 2027, including Rishikesh, Nainital, Bir, Shimla, Gangtok, and Lonavala.
The company currently operates 33 properties across 11 states, with 5 existing properties under its high-revenue Luxuria vertical. The new Jawai property will feature 9 cottages accommodating approximately 25 guests, offering curated safaris, local culinary experiences, and wellness-focused stays.
Abhishek Khandelwal, Founder and Director of Moustache Group of Hotels, emphasized the unique appeal of Jawai: "This region represents a remarkable model of human-leopard coexistence. Unlike traditional reserves, Jawai showcases how local communities and wildlife thrive together in a living landscape."
The expansion aligns with India's growing luxury tourism sector, valued at $72.4 billion in 2024 and projected to reach $123.8 billion by 2030. Deepak Agarwal, Founder and Director, noted that the company's Luxuria segment is driving significant growth, with projected revenues of ₹100 crore by 2026.
Originally known for backpacker hostels, Moustache has diversified into multiple verticals, including Luxuria for premium experiences and Select for mid-budget travellers, positioning itself to capitalize on the increasing demand for personalized and immersive hospitality experiences across India.
